Michael Westrick has a solid reputation for creating world-class Bordelaise and Burgundian wines over his 25-plus year winemaking career. Michael’s entry into winemaking came after a distinguished academic career in microbiology at the University of Wisconsin -Madison. His love of food and wine resulted in an internship with Hanna -Winery, followed by studies at UC Davis, then Hacienda Winery. Michael joined Stonestreet Winery as Enologist in 1992, becoming the winemaker there in 1996 where he established his reputation as a world-class winemaker crafting two Wine Spectator “Top 100” wines. In 2005, Michael left Sonoma County for Napa County to become Vice President of Winemaking for Sterling Vineyards, later returning to Sonoma County to work with the Vintage Wine Estates group as winemaker for Ray’s Station Winery. In 2015, Michael joined Notre Vue Estate as winemaker.
